Services » Conducting experimental measurements for visualization & data validation

The science of fluid dynamics is a key to the design of most engineering hardware and vehicles and also to the quantitative understanding of many natural phenomena. Tridiagonal Solutions undertakes experimental fluid dynamic (EFD) studies for cold flow systems to measure pressure, velocity, concentration etc.

A complete experimental setup is built either at the customers’ site or at Tridiagonal Solutions collaborations. All the steps, from material/instrumentations procurement to experimental setup, are undertaken by Tridiagonal Solutions as desired by the client. The built experimental setup is tested to ensure correctness of the design. Initial demo of the setup is given to the client to ensure that the project is progressing as per the requirement. Any modifications, if needed, are incorporated and tested before presenting it to the client.

Our approach for conducting experimental studies is explained in the figure below:

Various measurement techniques such as flow visualization using high speed camera, pressure fluctuations, torque measurement, local gas holdup measurements, etc can be used to characterize the hydrodynamic parameters in single-phase/ multi-phase systems. Experiments are conducted once the design/setup is approved by the client. Project reports with experimental results and user guides are presented to the client along with the experimental setup.
